Berline-based CABKA Group recently announced a new European acquisition, Herstal, Belgium-based ERYPLAST. The deal was announced by the respective CEOs of both firms, Gat Ramon and Dominique Rykers. Going forward, ERYPLAST plastic pallets will be distributed under the CABKA-IPS label.
The move to merge will help boost CABKA-IPS’ product line, especially in the field of multi-use logistics pallets. Additionally, its plastic recycling business will grow and the group’s recycling capacity will increase with the new location in Herstal.
In geographical terms, the merger is very beneficial. With a second location in Belgium, only 220 km from CABKA-IPS in Ypres, the group can also better serve the logistics-heavy Benelux region, the UK, and France.
Eryplast was founded in 1993, according to the Eryplast website, and has established itself as one of the European leaders in plastic pallet production. It reports employing around thirty people, having the second largest production capacity in Europe. The company specialises in the manufacture of large items made from plastic materials »
The CABKA Group has taken on all ERYPLAST employees, bringing its total staff to approximately 470 people.
